Fort Myers Beach

It's hard to imagine Fort Myers Beach as a secluded, overgrown area surrounded by miles of white sandy beaches. That's exactly what it was before the first "Little Bridge" was built to bring tourists and locals from Bunche Beach on the mainland to the 11km Estero Island.

In the late 20s, a new bridge was installed near today's San Carlos Bridge. Gradually, the attractive offers of Estero Island - such as miles of white sandy beaches - the imagination of visitors from near and far.

This beach can become your favorite place. Many smaller restaurants, crystal clear water, a broad powdered sugar beach and nice shops invite you to relax and linger.

Not far from Fort Myers Beach lies the impressive Lovers Key State Park. Although the entrance costs a handful of dollars, visitors are rewarded with a dream beach and even better water. Be sure to bring your snorkeling gear with you.
